2022 Musical: Peter Pan Jr.

We're so excited to announce next year's musical, "Peter Pan Jr."! 
Auditions will be in November. We're planning to have audition and dance workshops to help you prepare. In the meantime, here are some ideas on what you can do to prepare:

• Read the original book, "Peter Pan" by J.M. Barrie. You can also read the original play by J.M. Barrie. *Please note that the play was written in 1904 and the book in 1911 and they both contain inaccurate cultural interpretations. *

 

• Watch "Peter Pan Jr." videos on YouTube. There are lots of them out there. Please remember, we don't want you to copy what they did. Use it to be inspired. 

 

• The RP British accent will be required for the Darlings. There are tons of YouTube videos to help you learn and practice that. 

 

• Work on your speaking, especially diction and projection using your diaphragm.

 

• Work on your singing, especially moving while singing. Practice using your diaphragm. If you want a lead role, start working on an audition piece. Must be 1 verse of either a Broadway or Disney song. You will be singing it acapella for auditions. 

 

• Work on your acting. Practicing in front of a mirror is really helpful. (hint: Peter Pan Jr.'s script was adapted from the original play by J.M. Barrie. A lot of the lines are similar)

 

• Work on your dancing. There are lots of fun choreography videos out there to help you practice your dancing skills.
