2024-2025 School Musical

This year's school musical is The Drowsy Chaperone JR! Auditions will be in November and performances are March 5th-8th. Audition materials and more info about auditions will be posted at a later date.
 
The Drowsy Chaperone JR is a farce meaning it is a dramatic comedy of ridiculous characters and situations. The roles in this musical are an actor's dream because there really isn't a limit to how big and ridiculous you perform your role. We've thought long and hard about what would be the best fit for our students this year. This is the musical we feel our students will excel, learn and grow the best with. And truly, we can't wait to see what our students will do with this theatre piece.

1. Is The Drowsy Chaperone JR appropriate material for students to perform?

• ​Yes, we are performing the junior version of the musical that has been edited to be appropriate for school-aged audiences and performers. Please note: this script cannot be viewed on your school Chromebook because the script google link is from outside granite school district.

2. Will actors kiss in the show?

• Valid question since this show is about a wedding. No, we are NOT going to have any of our actors kiss in this production. If you want details on how we will stage and create the illusion of the one kiss in the script, feel free to ask Ms. Dallimore or Ms. Emily.  

3. Will this show be double-cast? 

• Right now we are not. However, sometimes things arise in auditions and callbacks where we see a need for double-casting. It isn't really until all have performed at callbacks that we know the answer to this question.
