Parents & Cast Members,
We sent a letter home today with your students because we have had some emails addresses that are “undeliverable,” and we need to make sure everyone is getting the information as we are getting closer to the performance dates. There are things we need students and parents to do so, if you haven’t been receiving emails the last 3 weekends, you need to contact [email protected] and have us add you to the email list. An important email was sent Monday night regarding the costume pieces we need you to supply to complete their costume looks. Students love being a part of finding some of their costumes. We are providing a lot of costumes, we just need help with a few things like pants, shirts, socks. We need students to bring ALL their costume pieces and shoes on Costume Check Day Nov. 4th (Friday). It’s on the rehearsal schedule as well. It’s super important you are checking your email each Sunday or the musical website for updated information for the week: wjhtheatre.weebly.com Students will not be able to receive their hoodie until their $40 cast fee is paid. So, if you have not done that yet, you can send your child with a check/cash to the front office pay or pay with a credit card or on the school website- there’s a button on the homepage that says, Paypams. Hoodies are going to be here around Nov. 7th. If you have any questions regarding the cast fee, please contact Charity Flanagan: [email protected] We have rearranged the rehearsal schedule so there will be no rehearsal on Halloween so students can go to the school dance after school from 3-4pm. Every Thursday night we work on painting or set building from 5-7pm if you can come help for an hour or two, we sure would appreciate it because there’s still a lot to do- thank you! Please fill out this google form for the Matilda Sweatshirts. Each cast member gets a Matilda sweatshirt for FREE this year. We just need to have everyone's sweatshirt sizes by tonight, Sunday, October 23rd. We really, really need help! EVERY Thursday night from 5-7 pm we work on painting and set building. We need solid colors painted on large boxes for the set decoration so, an easy, but time consuming project, just wear your grubbies. We need help with various other projects, so please come as we sure would love your help since the show will be here before we know it! If you want to bring your student, to help with you, that would be great! If you have any skill saws, please bring them- thanks so much! We so appreciate all the parents that have been helping :) We are getting so close to all the volunteer positions being filled, but still need a few. 1. We still need a few volunteer positions especially ticket sales help. Ticket sales training is only a 5 minute training with the financial secretary, Charity Flanagan, in the front office and the Ticket chairs are there to assist you if you have any questions- they are wonderful! Also, tickets are only being sold an hour before the show starts, so it's not a time consuming position and most of the ticket sales are being sold online, even the night of the show people will be directed to the website. Only a few seats will be available for cash sales. We will have a link for you to buy tickets in a few weeks. 2. We could really use your help on our Thursday work nights. We work on the set from 5-7pm, sometimes we go longer, so if you have an hour or two we could use your assistance. Our wonderful dad volunteers that help us build the set building have had to focus a majority of their attention on fixing our light system so we need extra parent help to finish our set building and painting. 3. We are still in need of boys' dressing room help where parents would just sit in during the show and make sure the students are behaving and making sure the room is clean at the end of the night. There is a live feed in the room so you can watch the show while you are in the room. 4. We open exactly 2 months from today and we are so grateful for all of our volunteers! We work every Thursday night on set and props from 5-8pm. If you have an hour or two on Thursdays, we could sure use your help. We won't be working this Thursday due to Fall Break.
