Matilda Jr. Audition Info

We are pleased to announce that next year's musical is Matilda Jr. with performances December 8th, 9th, and 10th!

Auditions will be August 23rd and 24th and mandatory dance auditions will be August 26th. We will have a signup sheet closer to the date where you will sign up for a time slot. Everybody auditioning including those auditioning for non-singing roles will sing and dance at auditions. 

We have prepared audition materials for you to work on over the summer. Please choose a character that is your first choice and prepare the audition materials for that character. It is important that you memorize your material as best as you can.

Audition preparation tips: 

• ​​Don't procrastinate your preparation. Some of this music is tricky. You'll want to give yourself more than a week to prepare. 
• Be memorized. We've given you all summer to learn this material. 
• Read the Audition page for tips to make your audition amazing.
• We want to see that London attitude. If auditioning for one of the school kids, we want to see how bratty you can be when you sing "Miracle". 
• Practice performing for your family and friends to get used to performing in front of an audience.
• Record/video yourself and look at what you can improve. 
• We encourage you to read the book "Matilda" by Roald Dahl to get deeper insight into the story and characters.
