Thank you students and parents for all the help and support as we approach opening night in just over a week! 
Parent work night this week from 6-8pm and we could use your help because some set pieces have been broken or damaged over rehearsal- this typically happens as we learn what is working and what isn't. Part of the set got broken off and so we need it glued back on and the paint fixed. If anybody that helped paint our bridge we could use your help to fix a small area on the bridge so it can look like it originally did and a few other items that need to be done- details in the weekly email. Thank you!
Monday- Cast picture day so please send your child with their Wonka shirt because they will be getting individual pictures along with cast pictures. Please make sure you send your student with any makeup they want to wear and if their hair can be done Monday morning so they can just do makeup and get into their costume that would be great.
Tuesday- Leads rehearsal and dry tech so we only need the following cast members from 3-5pm:
Bucket Family, Wonka, Golden Ticket Winners and Parents, Phineous Trout, Candyman, James, and Matilda
*Please note that some cast members may get to leave earlier than 5pm*
**Stage crew dry tech is 3-6pm**
Notes from the Costume Committee:  Students must wear all black shoes- no white or colored shoes unless you are an Oompa Loompa or we've talked to your student. Students have told us that their black shoes are coming so we appreciate that because the white shoes stand out and not in a good way on stage. Students need to wear either a black or nude shoe liner sock- no short socks. The short socks don't look right with the Mary Jane shoes, if your student is wearing those. Shoe liners can be purchased really inexpensively at just about any store, but the best price, and where you get the most for your money, has been Ross or TJ Maxx. Students who are wearing shoes with laces need to have black laces, main cast included- the white is showing up like a spotlight on stage. If your student is wearing black beanies or gloves they are blending into the background so please send them with a more colorful option. We have a few Ms. Dallimore has ordered if you don't have those, have your student talk to her or someone on the costume committee to get those and they must be returned after the show closes. Please no sparkly hats or gloves and solid colors are best. 

GroupMe:  We appreciate your support and just a reminder that sometimes we run over by a few minutes when we are trying to finish the run of the show to respectfully give each cast their full rehearsal time. If you signed up for ticket sales, we would love it if you could move over to Stargrams or Concessions if possible. Our Ticket Chair, Al Kinghorn, says he can run ticket sales with one other person- thank you! 
Parents have messaged and said they could come on the elementary performance day because they are finger-printed and background checked so could you confirm with Ms. Dallimore that you can still come that day. Also, the Oompa Loompa makeup is really simple to do and we could use help with that if you are coming and  would be much appreciated since we have 19 Oompa Loompas. They have a smear of white on the eyebrows, purple lips, and round orange cheeks with glitter on top.

Your wonderful children were such troupers through a long rehearsal day Friday and they had so much fun at the luncheon. Thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers who helped make the luncheon possible.

Cast T-shirts: cast shirts will be give out Tuesday. If the cast fee has not been paid your student will not be able to get their shirt until it is paid. Please see the email sent out Friday about how to pay the cast fee. 
Ticket Information:  
    The tickets for Willy Wonka JR will be going on sale this week. Before our regular sales start, there will be a pre-sale for the families of the cast and crew to ensure that they have an opportunity to buy tickets. 
    The pre-sale will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 7:00pm. Links to the sales site will be sent out on Tuesday.
    During the pre-sale, there is an allotment for each cast/crew member of 6 tickets per show. Once regular sales begin, tickets may be purchased in blocks of 10 with no limit.
    In the past, there have been violations of the pre-sale policy. In order to ensure that all families have an equal  opportunity to purchase tickets, the ticketing committee will be monitoring sales and canceling orders that are found to be in violation. If there are any questions about the pre-sale, please contact Al Kinghorn directly at [email protected]. 

​*We have our weekly set work night this Tuesday from 5-8pm where we are putting the final touches on the set. We could sure use some help and we appreciate all the help that has been given so far so come on by :) We love working with the parents and students. The set is looking AMAZING!!!
* Please make sure you are getting the clothing the students need for the foundations of their costumes. An email was sent last week “Costume Info for Willy Wonka JR” if you need to refer to it.
*We are headed into tech and dress rehearsals so please make sure you are checking the website for when your student needs to be there and that they stay the whole time. *Just a reminder that we have 6 performances: March 5th- elementary school performance, March 6th at 7pm, March 8th at 7pm, March 9th at 2pm and 7 pm. Please check the rehearsal schedule for call times. Students that need to be mic’d or need makeup help need to be at the school at 5pm on performance days.

We had another INCREDIBLE parent work day and got so much done! Another BIG THANK YOU  to all the parents and students who came to build and create!!! We can’t do this without you. Please make sure to look at the rehearsal schedule this week because we have shorter rehearsals Monday and Tuesday, no Friday rehearsal and no Tuesday work night due to Parent Teacher Student Conferences this week. Tuesday work nights will resume on Feb. 13 from 5-8pm to complete some painting and finish some set building. It’s time to get costumes in order and our wonderful costume team has been working hard to get everything organized so you will know what you need to provide for your child’s costume pieces. An email was sent after the weekly Sunday Night Email so you can look at the costumes you will need to provide for your student and be able to refer back to it easily. The musical is providing many costume pieces, we need you to provide the base layer. Thank you!

We are about 4 weeks away from our elementary performance day Tuesday Feb. 5th and want to make sure you are all aware that this year the elementary performance is later in the day than previous years.  We will be starting around 2pm and ending around 3:30. So, please make sure you put that in your calendar that your child will need to be picked up around that time. We are finalizing some details with the elementary schools and we will have a more exact time in the next week, but 3:30 is a good estimate. 

Our Sign-Up Genius is almost full and we are thrilled! We still have some slots that need to be filled so please look at your schedule and see if you can volunteer. Slots that need to be filled:  concession sales, ushers, dressing room supervisors, stargram sales people, makeup help.
