Cast meeting is on Wednesday. Read through for our speaking/singing roles is on Monday. First of all, we just want to tell all who auditioned that we are so proud of you! You all gave brilliant performances. We can't even begin to express the sheer volume of talent we have seen these last two days. It's been really difficult to even narrow it down for this callbacks list. All who audition will be in the musical, so please be sure you look at the cast list on Friday.
Reminder: everyone MUST attend dance auditions tomorrow (Wednesday) 3-6pm. Please look at the ENTIRE list. Some of you have been called back for more than one role. Callback materials have now been updated online. We will be placing paper copies by Ms. Dallimore's room tomorrow after school. Please note that Willy Wonka, Mike Teavee, and Parents have received new material for callbacks. All other characters will be using the same songs and scenes from auditions. We are not expecting scenes and songs to be memorized for callbacks. Just become familiar with it as best as you can. Callbacks are on Thursday right after school. We will let students go as soon as they are done. We will do our best to finish by 6pm, but please know that it may go longer for certain characters. Auditions for speaking roles will be November 27th and 28th from 3-5pm. We have a signup sheet by Ms. Dallimore's room (110) where you will sign up for a time slot. Choose 1 character to audition with (your first choice). Mandatory dance auditions will be November 29th from 3-6pm and are for everyone who wants to be in the musical (speaking roles & ensemble). Those who want to be in the ensemble will sing in groups at the Dance Auditions. Everybody auditioning including those auditioning for non-singing roles will sing and dance at auditions. Callbacks will be November 30th from 3-6pm. Remember, not all roles will be called back for. Audition Materials We have prepared audition scenes and a song for you to work on these next 2 months. Please be memorized as best as you can. The MP3 of the song can be found in the character folders below. On the MP3, we have provided the guide vocals to help you learn the song and then immediately following is the same music without the guide vocals. At the audition we will only play the music without the guide vocals so be sure you are practicing with the MP3. Choose a character that is your first choice and prepare the audition materials for that character. If you are struggling with any of the audition materials for a character, try out a different one. Find the one that fits you the best.
