Students and Parents,
We have an ALL CAST meeting Monday Dec. 18th from 3:00-3:15. Trying on costumes will be rescheduled so only the cast who are in Scene 14 will stay for rehearsal after the meeting until 4:00. Please make sure you are checking the rehearsal schedule for updates or changes to the schedule. Look for the Rehearsal Schedule under the "Musical" tab. Students have asked what "Opt." means in front of a song/dance number and it stands for "optional" song/dance number that cast members can choose whether to be in or not. If you click on the blue print under the date the rehearsal schedule will expand and you can see who needs to be at rehearsal and for how long. We will show the students how this works and the musical tabs on the website along with other valuable information so please make sure students are there for the cast meeting. Parents: We appreciate and rely on our parent volunteers to make the musical phenomenal so, as in years past, the Sign-Up Genius links with specific volunteer assignments and committee chairs will be available after winter break. Reminder that if your child has a speaking role you will need to chair or co-chair a committee as explained in the student-parent contract we collected at auditions. For now, please watch the video and/or Google Slides presentation under the "Musical" tab if you missed the parent meeting and you will see a link to sign up for a committee. We need all parents to sign up so we can get your email for correspondence and to officially accept your child as a member of the Willy Wonka JR Cast. We have about 50 parents who need to sign up so please do that as soon as you can so we can get your email to send you updates about the musical. Emails will start after the break. Thank you for your time and for volunteering to make this a great show! We can't do this show and make it as great as it has been over the past 20 years without the incredible help of our parent volunteers. We have new information for how we are collecting emails and taking attendance so, even if your child has been in the show before, we need you to watch the video. We apologize the Zoom meeting didn't work as we had planned for the parent meeting so Ms. Dallimore created a video tutorial for you to watch AND click on the Google Slides link to fill out the Google Form to sign up for a committee, emails, and officially accept your child into the musical cast. We need ALL parents to fill out this form whether they are a speaking role or ensemble. Your student will not be able to attend rehearsal until it is filled out and will be considered one of their 3 unexcused absences so please complete this by Wed. Dec. 18th.
